“Room for Improvement” confirms Reinstatement of Services

“We believe there is room for improvement” is what the Shakespeare Line Rail User Group have told Chiltern Railways, who provide train services between Leamington Spa and Stratford upon Avon. Peter Morris, Chair of SLRUG, has written to Richard Allan, Managing Director of Chiltern Railways, stating that it is unacceptable that the Leamington Spa > < Stratford upon Avon train services, which also serve Wilmcote, Bearley, Claverdon, Hatton and Warwick, are suspended every time there are broader operational problems and industrial action short of a strike.

Richard Allan has responded to SLRUG’s comments saying that Chiltern Railways had conducted an internal review and that consequently, on the last occasion of service suspension, the decision was taken to reinstate the Leamington Spa > < Stratford upon Avon train service to ensure key groups, including commuters, schoolchildren and students could continue to use the train service.
